Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery

It has been noted that certain competitors of ours have finally woken up to the ethic of constant investment in new equipment to keep a company moving forwards with the most up to date and modern Tanks and Silos.

Here at ATI we have invested in excess of £200,000 per year over the last 14 years, we have a fleet of Tanks and Silos that can be delivered easily on normal trailers, once again something our competitors have just woken up to!

Our tanks are maintained to the highest standard that is possible, this elongates the life of these units exponentially.

ATI Tank Hire Ltd are ISO9001:2008 accredited, we are purely hire, we do not stock rusty tanks for sale that can be painted to earn a quick buck in the hire market, our equipment is built “with Hire in mind”.

The Lee Tunnel

The Lee Tunnel

The Lee Tunnel is the first of two tunnels, which will collectively capture an average of 39 million tonnes of sewage a year from the 35 most polluting combined sewer overflows (CSOs), built by the Victorians as part of a sewerage network that still serves London 150 years on.

The £635m tunnel will tackle discharges from London’s largest CSO at Abbey Mills Pumping Station in Stratford, which accounts for 40 per cent of the total discharge. The four-mile tunnel will run beneath the London Borough of Newham from Abbey Mills to Beckton.

It will help prevent more than 16 million tonnes of sewage mixed with rainwater overflowing into the River Lee each year, by capturing it and transferring it to Beckton Sewage Treatment Works, which is being expanded by 60 per cent to enable it to deal with the increased volumes.

ATI Tank Hire Ltd are proud to be involved with this contract that was awarded to MVB Joint Venture, we have been supplying multiple 30 m3 water storage tanks whilst the 80 mtr deep vertical shaft was sunk to accommodate the Tunnel Boring Machine that arrived in July 2011. Ongoing ATI are supplying tanks to supply large volumes of water needed by the TBM - Busy Lizzie (named by local primary school) whilst constructing the 7 mtr diameter tunnel.

Land Fill Project

Various Landfill Sites

ATI are supplying bunded tanks at many Landfill sites throughout the UK for the storage of Landfill Leachate prior to treatment.

The most common method of handling collected leachate is on-site treatment. When treating leachate on site, the leachate is pumped from the sump into the treatment tanks. The leachate may then be mixed with chemical reagents to modify the pH and to coagulate and settle solids and to reduce the concentration of hazardous matter.

Further treatment is typically a modified form of activated sludge to substantially reduce the dissolved organic content. Nutrient imbalance can cause difficulties in maintaining an effective biological treatment stage. The treated liquor is rarely of sufficient quality to be released to the environment and may be tankered or piped to a local sewage treatment facility.
